BANANA KETCHUP is a popular Philippines fruit ketchup condiment made from banana, sugar vinegar and spices. Its natural color is brownish-yellow but it is often dyed red to resemble tomato ketchup. its taste like tomato too but with a twist of sweet and fruity flavor.
I also found out that banana ketchup was invented because of the lack of tomatoes during the world war.
Pinoys are used to the sweet tangy taste of banana ketchup. It can be dipped in by fried foods such as lumpiang shanghai, fried chicken, hotdog, egg etc.. Filipinos also put it in pasta and make spaghetti and it is called Filipino sweet style Spaghetti ❤️
